1.0 OBJECTIVE:
To provide guidelines for the in-process checks for
packing the products in manufacturing areas.
2.0 SCOPE:
To monitor the mode of packing of products, in
In-process checking by IPQA executive.
3.0 PROCEDURE:
3.1.
In-process control will be done as a
spot check to audit the packaging activity.
3.2.
This will be performed by the staff
of Q.A dept.
3.3.
The Q.A Staff will check the
following:
3.3.1
Through cleaning of packing belt.
3.3.2 Absence
of previous batch materials like previous Batch/product containers/Labels
containers, shippers and ensure line clearance.
3.3.3 Status labels on the finished product
containers.
3.3.4 Details of batch history like B.No, Mfg.
Date, Exp. Date MRP, and Quantity
3.3.5 Batch coding should be checked on labels /
containers / foils/ shippers / outer labels etc.
3.3.6 Weight
/volume check as per specifications. Records should be maintained for the same
as and when checked.
3.3.7 No. of units present in the carton and
random checking of the shipper.
3.3.8 MRP and special information, if any, should
be checked.
3.3.9 Sealing integrity at regular intervals for
bottles and sachets.
Any
discrepancies observed will be informed to production manager and production
executive for corrective action.
4.0 FREQUENCY:
Daily.
5.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
Executive Q.A.
6.0 REVIEW
GUIDE: Q.A line inspection
documents.
