1.0       OBJECTIVE:

To provide guidelines for Calibration of Polarimeter.

2.0       POLICY: 

To ensure establish a procedure for Calibration of Polarimeter.

3.0       PROCEDURE:

3.1       Put the switch on and leave the equipment for warm up of lamp for 30minutes.

3.2       Prepare sucrose solution of the concentration mentioned below.

3.3       Clean the polarimeter tube with distilled water.

3.4       Check that the light source should be properly aligned with respect to the optical bench.

3.5       Transfer the solution to the polarimeter tube within 30min from the time the substance was dissolved, during this interval maintains the solution at 25 deg. C.
