1. OBJECTIVE:

To provide guidelines for proper and effective usage of personal protective equipment.                         

2.SCOPE:

To ensure safety of personnel as well as products being handled in manufacturing operations.                        

3. INTRODUCTION:

All the employees should realize that the protective equipments are not just meant for protecting the products from contamination but for also their personal safety and should develop a regular habit of using them. The management should give proper training to the employees for proper usage of these equipments because each equipment is specific for specific purpose. The description of each type of equipment to be used for different operations is given in Annexure.

4. PROCEDURE:

4.1. The specific type of protective equipment should be provided to workmen according to the nature of

       work they are assigned.

4.2. The workmen should follow the instructions for usage of equipments before entering into their work

       spot.

4.3. During lunch and tea break they should remove the equipments and store them in secure places.

4.4. At the end of days operations the equipments should be preserved in secure and dust free places.

4.5. The spoiled and damaged equipments should be immediately discarded and replaced.
