STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE

1.0       OBJECTIVE:

To provide guidelines in the handling and cleaning of Glass Ware.

2.0       POLICY:

As Glass ware plays a crucial role, each and every test is consummated and accomplished in the Glass ware, proper care should be taken.

3.0       PROCEDURE:

3.1       All the Glass ware should be cleaned with 1% detergent solution, Water and Chromic acid.

3.2       It should be washed, rinsed with D.M Water and put them in the Oven till they are completely dried.

3.3       All the Glass Ware should be kept clean in the specified places.

3.4       Pipettes and Petri dishes are washed with chromic acid solution on quarterly basis.   

4.0       FREQUENCY:  As and when required.

5.0       RESPONSIBILITY:  Executive QA / Jr. Executive QA.
