1.0       OBJECTIVE:

To provide guidelines for testing Moisture Content of Granules.

2.0       POLICY: 

To lay down procedure for checking of moisture content.

3        PROCEDURE:

3.1       Adjust the balance to 0 & 100% as per manufacturer instructions.

3.2       Place the sample granules in the sample pan until the pointer coincides with 0.

3.3       Switch on the IR lamp so that the temperature rises slowly, when the temperature reaches 105 deg. C maintain this temperature.

3.4       Directly read the moisture percentage by taking the pointer back to the 0 position.

4.0       FREQUENCY:  As and when required.

5.0       RESPONSIBILITY:  Executive Q.A / Jr. Executive.
