1.0 OBJECTIVE:
To provide guidelines for Operation & Maintenance
of Humidity Chambers.
2.0 POLICY:
To lay down a procedure for operating and maintenance
of humidity chambers.
3.0 PROCEDURE:
3.1 Before switching on the Humidity Chamber Check for the availability of water in the boiler tank
and water level in the feed tank. Check the incoming electric supply of 230 V.
3.2 To start the Chamber
3.2.1 Put on the main switch on the switch board.
3.2.2 Put on the mains on the control panel.
3.2.3 The temperature controller will display
temperature.
3.2.4 The
humidity controller will display humidity.
3.2.5 The
safety controller will display light.
3.2.6 The
motor inside the chamber gets ON.
3.2.7 The sonix will display the lights, actual
time. All the above should be on when the main switch is ON.
3.2.8 The
required temperature is set by pressing F key.
3.2.9 The
required humidity is set by pressing F key.
3.2.10 Set the safety controller with the same
temperature as the set on the temperature controller. The safety controller
will cut off when the mains contactor in case of overshoot or undershoot of
temperature by 5
3.2.11 Put on
the heating switch on the control panel. Dry heater will ON.
3.2.12 Put on
the cooling switch on the control panel. Refrigeration condenser motor will on.
3.2.13 Put on
the humidity switch on the control panel. The boiler heater will ON.
3.2.14 After some time the set temperature and
humidity will be attained and the chamber will function.
3.2.15 Load the samples in shelves as and when
required.
3.2.16 Check the contents in the chamber through the
observation door regularly.
3.2.17 When drawing the samples switch off the
chamber.
3.2.18 The memory stores the record of temperature
and humidity and the print out is printed once a month and filed for record and
information about the conditions.
3.3 General Instructions & Maintenance
:
3.3.1 Ensure proper earthing.
3.3.2 Ensure proper supply of water.
3.3.3 Ensure that all portholes and doors are
closed while running.
3.3.4 Do not change the internal parameters of the
controller, which might change the calibration.
3.3.5 Clean the chamber from outside regularly.
3.3.6 Clean the boiler tank, boiler heater and
reservoir tank once a month.
3.3.7 Clean the PT 100 sensor tip with the help of
a tissue paper once in 2 months.
4.0 FREQUENCY: As and when
required.
5.0
