1.0 OBJECTIVE:
To provide guidelines for an operation, maintenance
& calibration procedure for Multitech Digital Torque Tester.
2.0 POLICY:
To establish a procedure for an operation, maintenance
& calibration procedure for Multitech Digital Torque Tester.
3.0 PROCEDURE:
3.1 Switch
ON power supply button on the left side, display PEAK & PRST.
3.2 Press button E for making PRST reading Zero.
3.3 Press
the button R for making PEAK readings Zero.
3.4 Both
readings must be zero before testing torque.
3.5 Press
button M for selecting units. Always select desired unit by pressing M and
don’t press M after peak is noted.
3.6 Rotate
knob adjust such that bottle can be held easily. There will be some deflection
in display reading while holding bottle.
3.7 Press
buttons E and R for making PRST and PEAK readings zero.
3.8 Gently
rotate cap anti-clockwise till it becomes loose or just breaking tamper ring. A
peak reading will display. Note this reading, this is removal torque. Check if
it is within standard range.
3.9 For
testing next bottle follow 3.1 to 3.8. On completion of testing switch off the
power.
3.10 Calibration is done by the following
procedure.
3.11 Press menu hold and switch on Torque Tester.
It displays TORQUE, CALIBRATION, then press Enter screen displays TORQUE,
CALIBRATION, ZERO.
3.12 Then
press Enter screen displays TORQUE, LOAD and then press Enter screen displays
TORQUE, LOAD, 000.00.
3.13 Hang
load of 1 KG and set torque as following, press vertical arrow till you see
000.01, then press horizontal arrow till you see 000.10.
3.14 Press
vertical arrow till you see 000.11, press horizontal arrow till you see 001.10,
press horizontal arrow till you see 11.00.
3.15 Then
press Enter screen displays TORQUE, CALIBRATION, OK. Then press Enter screen
displays TORQUE, RESET and then press Enter.
3.16 Remove
load of 1 Kg then press E & R to make PRST & PEAK readings zero.
3.17 Now
apply standard Torque by hanging 1 Kg standard weight.
Hanging
1 Kg weight = Torque of 11.0 Kgcm
Hanging 2 Kg weight = Torque of 22.0
Kgcm
4.0 FREQUENCY:
As and when required.
