1.0       OBJECTIVE:

To provide guidelines for Operation & Maintenance of Vacuum Oven.

2.0       POLICY:

This oven is used to check loss on drying under vacuum.

3.0       PROCEDURE:

3.1       Switch on the power supply and set the required temperature using temperature set knob.

3.2       Temperature gauge of the Oven should be checked with Standard thermometer.

3.3       Vacuum gauge should be calibrated and authenticated by the recognized authority yearly.

3.4       If the Oven is not supporting vacuum its gasket should be checked and replaced.

3.1        Vacuum Oven should be cleaned monthly.

4.0       FREQUENCY:  Once in three months, Pressure gauges are calibrated annually by External   
                             agency.

5.0       RESPONSIBILITY:  Executive (QA.)

6.0       REVIEW GUIDE: Calibration register.

7.0       ANNEXURE: ---------
